Theme 3 of Storytown for K
Directions: This is a packet of Race to Trace and Race to Write games for each letter in Theme 1of Harcourts Storytown for K. This may be used with dice or spinners, or the accompanying Smart Notebook file also available on TPT. Choose the one that best fits the levels of the children playing. The children take turns rolling or spinning to see who reaches the top first. For those who are able, we also ask them to state a word that begins with that letter and have the rest of the children in the group give them a thumbs up or thumbs down if they are correct/incorrect. This is perfect for small group or literacy centers in your Pre-K or Kindergarten classroom. You may also copy on cardstock and laminate for use with a dry erase marker or have it be a paper and pencil task. Recently, we have placed in a clear, plastic page protector to save on lamination cost.
This includes am, at-DdAaCc, ap, an-am, an, ap, at. Also includes differentiation for those ready to come up with rhyming words for the word families.
