This is a board game for 2-4 players. Players begin at the library entrance. They place the book cards face down on the table. Each player draws a card and decides what type of book is on the card. Following the arrows, the player moves to the space that describes that book (fiction picture book, fiction chapter book, or nonfiction book). Players continue to take turns drawing cards until one person reaches the checkout. This game is perfect for your centers. It's even self-checking--the book card's border matches the word colors on the game board (fiction chapter book is written in orange on game board & all fiction chapter book card borders are orange). Students can play the game by themselves as they discover the different types of books and their call numbers. This product includes one game board and 54 book cards.
