This is a self-correcting activity to use as a center or "scoot game" with big kids. The card game directs students to choose a moon card out of a bag and answer it - then check answer in the "Flight Manual" (answer key). If they get the answer correct, they line the moons up on the floor until the create a line as long as they are to win. You could also play as a "scoot game" - placing the 32 moons around the room and having students number their paper to 32 then "scoot" around the room until they have answered all of them. The theme of this game is the moon - vocabulary and topics covered include:moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, tides, umbra, gravity, high tide, moon features, telescope, and more! This is a wonderful way to provide "centers or stations" for big kids to allow them choice in mastering their science objectives.
