Discrimination and oppression of others has occurred not only in other countries around the world, but in Canada as well. After the bombing of Pearl Harbour during World War II, internment camps were created in BC to keep the Japanese people confined. In the following research inquiry project, students investigate and discover more about this appalling part of BC’s history.
The end project includes an oral and visual display of written research work, a letter written in the voice of an interment prisoner, artifact creation, maps and illustrations. An assessment rubric is also included.
