This is a great activity to engage students to work collaboratively to review simplifying radicals and solving radical equations. I use this activity in Algebra 2.
There are 9 multiple choice questions (stations) to be scattered around the classroom. In pairs or small groups, students choose a station to start at. They solve the problem, and based on their answer they will be directed to the next station.
To complete the circuit (i.e. to return to the station they started with after solving all 9 questions), students must choose the correct answers and go from station to station in a specific order.
The file contains all 9 questions, a table for logging students' path and solutions, and the answers for the complete circuit.
Students get to move around and work together to solve the problems. This is great test review. Students love this activity!
