Description

Students will practice solving radical equations with this Pyramid Sum Puzzle activity. Students must be able to solve both linear and quadratic equations. Extraneous solutions also included.

Simply give each student the template and set of problems. They solve each equation, cut out the boxes, then paste them onto the template so that each solution is the sum of the two solutions directly above it. See the preview for more detailed directions and photos. Actual answers not shown in the cover photo above!

This activity works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 1 Radical Functions Unit.
