Radical Equations Task Cards (Algebra 2)
Students will practice solving radical equations by working through these 20 task cards. This includes radicals with higher indexes (square, cube, and fourth roots). Several equations are written with rational exponents rather than in radical form. Students must be able to solve both linear and quadratic equations. Extraneous solutions also included. This activity was created for an Algebra 2 level class.
A worksheet is provided for students to show their work and record their answers.
They can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.
If you haven't used QR codes in your classroom yet, I highly recommend them! Students love using the technology, and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher!
This activity works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 2 Radical Functions Unit.
