Radical Expressions Math Lib
In this activity, students generate pieces to a story as they move throughout the stations that review operations with radical expressions.
There are 9 stations, with 9 problems at each station. As a group of 3-4, students choose one problem at each station to simplify. Once simplified, they look up their solution on the solutions card and record the information. After about 4 minutes, I have them get up and move to the next station. They will have completed the story by the time they finish.
Example story: "Mrs. Wilson was flying a kite, with Lady Gaga, while wearing gorilla costumes, at Disney World, in the middle of the night, in a hot-air balloon, while wrestling a bear, to promote world peace." You can change to teacher names within your own building!
