This is a unit of handouts on Radicals and Imaginary/Complex Numbers. It would be most appropriate for a high school level Algebra 2 course. Included are worksheets on simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing algebraic radicals. Each worksheet starts off with some simple examples and then gets progressively more difficult. A lesson on solving radical equations is included (incorporating examples which turn into both linear and quadratic equations). The remaining worksheets involve lessons on simplifying radicals with negative radicands, powers of the imaginary unit i, and operations with complex numbers. Many diverse examples are included on each worksheet.
