PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The learning objectives for this lesson are the following:
1- The student will understand how to graph square root functions,
2-The student will understand how to identify a translation from the parent function y= √x
3-The student will understand how to identify the domain and range
4-The student will understand how to identify the x-intercept and y-intercept

This lesson meets the Common Core State Standard for Mathematics, CCSS.F.IF.7

This is a project I use in my Algebra 2 Honors classroom as an introduction to graphing square root functions. A total of 7 problems are included modeling situations that demonstrated the relationship between y= √x and y=a√(x-h)+k.
