This 22 minute podcast discusses the heavy metal music movement in Cuba during the 1980's and covers how they were discriminated against by the government, and how they worked to create benefit concerts to fight AIDS and generate awareness. My students needed to hear this episode twice in order to answer the questions completely largely due to the fact that the Cuban accent is harder to understand if you are not used to it. Download contains 22 chronological questions to accompany the podcast and answer key. Link to the program is also on the worksheet. This activity is best suited for Heritage Language learners who have already had some practice listening to audiocasts.
