Product Description
This lab uses "candium" (either M&Ms or skittles) to show the process of radioactive decay. Students are given 50 pieces of candy in a plastic bag which they shake, pour out and then take out the ones that have "decayed" or have the print side facing up. Students record the number of decayed atoms after each half-life (shake of the bag) and then graph their results. This lab is a fun way for students to learn about radioactive decay.
