-----Ragnarok: The Card Game-----
There are countless tales of the Norse gods. But all of them begin with the understanding that eventually it will all end. That all the gods will die and the nine worlds will burn. They called it Ragnarok. The end of everything is where your game begins.
“Ragnarok” consists of a deck of 54 cards, and can be played with 2-4 players. The goal of the game is to be the player with the most points, which are accumulated by matching cards (Norse gods with their attributes, for example). However, matched cards can be eliminated if another player plays a card that invalidates the match (playing a Loki card will kill the Heimdall match, for example). Gameplay ends when the draw pile has been exhausted.
This game is a great study tool for classes studying Norse mythology, as the relationships, facts, and attributes are pulled directly from the myths. Win points by playing "Sif" and the matching "Sif's Mirror" cards, but be careful, as another student can play "Loki's Scissors" to cut your new points in half!
Files are arranged as 9 cards on six pages of pdfs. Print these out in color on thick cardstock (and if you want, print them double-sided to include the card-backs) and cut apart to make individual cards. Instructions are included as a 2-page word file.
I am developing the game for eventual publication.
