Product Description
Tired of cold weather or ready for a change of season?? I am! Here are 3 activities to play to get your students ready for SpRiNG!

Included in this packet:
*Boots, Boots, Boots!
*Puddle Jumper game board
*Raindrop Categories
*Dot Paint Puddle pages
*Splishy Splashy Speech (language homework page)

Collect the most pairs of matching boots to be the winner in this simple reinforcement game. Bonus—students practice new vocabulary as they match and describe different colors and patterns.

Directions for Use:
*Print and laminate puddle mats (page 3). Each student will need one collection mat.
*Print 3-4 copies of BOOTS page (page 4), laminate and cut cards apart.
*Place cards face down on the table.
*Students take turns drawing cards. Be on the lookout for special cards!
1. Boot Swap!-swap a boot with another player
2. Magic Boot!-this is a wild card-- this card counts as ANY COLOR BOOT!
Player with the most matching pairs at the end of the game wins!

Use this springtime game board as a simple reinforcer during speech and language activities. Hop from puddle to puddle and collect rain drops as you pass GO. You may also choose to award raindrops for correct answers/speech sound productions during play. Player with the most raindrops at the end of the game wins! Play one of 2 ways:
1. Use articulation cards on page 10 to reinforce articulation sounds. When you land on an umbrella, pick a corresponding card and follow the directions.
2. Use language cards on pages 9 to reinforce vocabulary and language skills. When you land on an umbrella, pick a corresponding card and follow the directions.

Directions for Use:
*Print game board (pages 6-7) and laminate. You may choose to mount these pages on a file folder for easy storage.
*Print and laminate page 9 (language) and/or 10 (articulation), and cut cards apart.
*All students start at GO! and move around the board clockwise. When a student lands in a puddle with an umbrella, draw the corresponding umbrella card and have them answer the question/say his/her speech words.
*MUD PUDDLES-student loses one turn
*Collect boots as you pass GO!

Use this category game to help students learn to categorize. Students sort raindrops to the appropriate umbrellas. Included in this activity are 7 simple categories and 4 raindrops (items) for each category. As an extension activity have them label other items that could go in the categories!

Directions for Use:
*Print category umbrellas and raindrops from pages 12-13; laminate and cut apart.
*Choose 2-3 categories (umbrellas) to start and put in front of students. Put the corresponding raindrops in a pile. Have students take turns drawing raindrops and matching them to the correct umbrellas.
*For ease of use, you may choose to paperclip raindrops to appropriate umbrellas when not in use.
*Extra umbrellas, raindrops and cards have been provided for you!
