Rain, Rain, Go Away Directions:
Print cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. Cut the cards out and either place in a container to have students reach in to pick a card or have the students put the cards in a pile face down in the middle.
Students will take turns and pick a card. Each card has a sight word that the student has to read. If the student can read the sight word, s/he gets to keep it. If s/he cannot read the sight word, s/he has to put the card back. If the student draws or picks the “Rain, Rain, Go Away” card, they shout (or whisper!) "Rain, rain, go away" and that student only has to put all of his/her cards back. The student with the most cards at the end wins!
I hope you and your students have fun playing this game!
