Does your class love to do countdowns? Mine does! We do a countdown to Halloween, a countdown to Winter Break, a countdown to St. Patrick's Day, and many more! This is a great way for the kids to become familiar with numerals, counting backwards, and learning the concept of "1 less"!
Included are 6 designs for the countdowns:
Simply print, laminate, and cut! The gray boxes on each of the countdown pages are where to place the numbers. You can use a pushpin for the number cards or velcro dots. I find that velcro dots work best because it allows the kids to become more involved and change out the numbers. We typically start countdowns no longer than a month in advance, which is why I have the numbers 0-31. If you have longer countdowns, just let me know and I can add some for you!
The Black & White countdowns are great if you would like to print on colored paper and do not have access to color printing.
Please note that this countdown is sized to fit the standard printer paper of 8.5x11. I find I am always struggling to find room to hang things, so I created this resource to be as efficient as possible.
