Early elementary students really like drawing rainbows! They like drawing huge rainbows even better! Since children like to draw rainbows, it’s easy to teach them how to put the colors in the correct order. In an art classroom, it’s also easy to get students to see the connection between rainbows and the color wheel. This project would be great to do right after a project about the color wheel. It lasts 3 days, and it involves group work.
This download includes a short and simple PowerPoint presentation that includes pictures of rainbows, rainbow colors listed, and a slide that points out the relationship between a rainbow and the color wheel. A printable PDF lesson plan is also included in this zip file download.
