Simple Supplies needed. Whole milk, 2% milk, fat-free milk, dish soap, dessert plates, cotton swabs, food coloring, stop watch, other milks and liquids for further exploration.

This investigation is part of a series. This is the 2nd/3rd grade investigation K/1st and 4th/5th grade are also available. Each version is differentiated for abilities and NGSS. The K/1st grade version tests whole milk and fat-free milk. The 2nd/3rd grade journal investigates 3 types of milk. The 4th/5th grade expands the number of trials. They are available individually or in a bundle discount.
