Kids Cubbie created two math centers and activities. Roll, Count, Color is best fit for students practicing matching a number to a given set of objects. The student will roll a dot cube and a color cube. He/she then counts the number of dots and colors the corresponding square in the color column. This is made to be played with a partner which adds a touch of competition that students enjoy. The Rainbow Addition is a simple addition game that also is meant to be played in a small group; however, it can be used as an independent practice. Students are given two dot cubes and a color cube. The two dot cubes are rolled and added to find the sum. The color cube is rolled and the sum found is colored.
These math centers are common core aligned focusing on K.CC.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20
