How I Use this in my Classroom
I purchased a rainbow box of containers at Michaels with 40% off coupon. I set up each color as a different level for the sight words. I used the Dolch Sight Word List as a guide.
I made covers for each of the boxes. For each level I made flashcards and wrote the words on popsicle sticks to make the Stick Bang game. If you don’t know the Stick Bang game you can read more on my website.
I typed up the words for each level and put the matching graphic next to it. I also cut mine flashcards out and taped them to match cardstock, but that is not necessary. I just thought it is cute. The graphic is enough to keep things organized.
The big box does not take up a lot of space in my room. It fits perfectly on my shelf. I grab it when I need it.
