The following are short high interest reading comprehension activities (bell ringers). They can used at the beginning of class, at the end of class, to review a lesson, or as exit slips.
These activities can help you teach your students how to locate text evidence, find main ideas, and make inferences.
This reading selection focuses on rainforest animals. It is especially designed for Pre-K through 4th grade. However, you can alter the selection in order to accommodate older readers. It also be used with special needs students or older, lower performing students.
