These 18 extension activity task cards challenge students to make deeper connections to the thriller Ransom by Lois Duncan. Including creative writing, poetry, music, construction, illustration, history, drama, and more, these activities are open-ended making them easy to differentiate for a range of ages and abilities. Suitable for formative and summative assessment, most of the tasks can be performed individually, in pairs, or in groups. Also included are blank cards so you can add your own tasks to the set.
These tasks can be used on their own or in conjunction with other activities for the novel Ransom.

Written before I Know What You Did Last Summer and Killing Mr. Griffin, Ransom follows the fate of 5 kidnapped students, and was nominated for the Edgar Allen Poe award.
