Each group researches a philosopher from the handout. They create a rap or a song about the philosopher's view on two subjects. The students "battle it out" in class. It's a fun way to learn about the many philosophers in history. An example of a rap that my husband and I created is included. I performed the rap in class to help the students feel a little less anxious about performing their raps and songs in class. Don't let the groups have the same philosophers. There won't be enough groups to cover all of the philosophers. My solution was to discuss the difference of opinion between one that was not covered and the group that just performed.
