This product is a complete game that will allow your students to practice finding rate of change/slope using a variety of problems, including:
- two coordinate pairs
- multiple coordinate pairs in a table
- written descriptions of a situation
- an equation in slope-intercept form
The complete download includes four versions of the bingo "board", each with the same 16 problems (mixed up in each version), which have 16 unique answers. Also included are answer keys for all forms of the bingo board.
HOW TO PLAY BINGO:
Students can work individually or in pairs to solve the 16 problems. At the end of a designated time or when the class has finished all of the problems, you can play BINGO by drawing the answers and calling them out for students to mark if they solved the problem correctly. The multiple versions and chance that some students will miss some problems helps to avoid a situation where there are too many BINGOs at the same time.
HOW TO PLAY TIC-TAC-TOE:
Alternatively, you could have pairs of students play Tic-Tac-Toe with a single game board: the student whose turn it is picks a problem to solve, and their partner checks. If the first student has solved the problem correctly they can put their "X" or "O" in that square.
Use this activity as an assessment, individual practice and review, or homework. It's very versatile!
