Product Description
This product is the sixth in a series of six products that provide everything you need to introduce students to ratio, rate, and proportion concepts and ensure they understand and retain them! It addresses sixth, seventh, and eighth grade common core standards, but can also be used for advanced fifth grade students. Follow these instructions and use the materials step-by-step, and your students will have completed a final assessment on ratios, rates, and proportions, including sophisticated use in word problems. This and associated products can be used in two different ways, depending upon customer needs and preferences:

1. By purchasing any combination of the stand–alone products:

Ratios Galore!
Rates Galore!
Proportions Galore!
Proportion Word Problems Galore!
Tricky Rate/Proportion Word Problem Challenge!
Ratio, Rate, and Proportion Unit Assessment

Each of the first four of these products contains a warm-up activity, a guided note-taking page, a math poetry page used to cement concepts, and a two-page illustrated worksheet. The final two sections are best used after ratios, rates, and proportions have been adequately addressed through these products or other materials.

2. By purchasing the complete, bundled, two-week math unit, Ratios, Rates, and Proportions Galore!, which contains all of the individual products listed above, at a significantly discounted price. If you need to cover all of these topics, this is the recommended approach!

Ratio / Rate / Proportion Unit Assessment tests the students on what they have learned over the previous five parts of the unit. It assumes the students have either used these products to get to this point, or completed a similar unit using other materials. It progresses from simple questions that ask students to write ratios, rates, and unit rates (and define them), to intermediate level items where the students solve rate and proportion “drill” problems, to word problems where the students must set up rates or proportions and solve them.

This activity will comprehensively test students on their knowledge or ratios, rates, proportions, and their real-world uses. Good luck in your implementation of Ratio / Rate / Proportion Unit Assessment!

Feel free to check out a growing number of other products that use poetry, songs, games, and worksheets to make math fun and help students to learn a variety of common core math standards.
