The first one-sided page is student notes that explains the concept of rational exponents. Included are two definitions: one where the numerator of the rational exponent is 1 and the other where it is not. 6 examples serve as guided practice after each definition.
The second one-sided page is a fun coloring activity over simplifying expressions containing rational exponents.The student is given 12 questions to practice simplifying rational exponents. Both a numerator of 1 and not 1 are included in the exponents. See the preview to see some of the questions.
Next the student uses their answer to color in a Sierpinski triangle design.
