### Description

Play this ratios and proportions math game - just print, copy, and cut! This engaging, easy-prep math game is great to use as a review activity before an assessment!

Have you checked out the Ratios & Proportions Activities Bundle? It includes this resource plus a variety of other resources for instruction and practice!

This unique math activity offers students a choice of question types - a "truth," which is a true or false question addressing:

• vocabulary
• ratio identification
• basic ratio concepts;

OR they can choose a "dare," which include more challenging questions:

• finding unit rates
• finding missing values in proportions

The different cards have different point values for students to earn. Students record their answers and points on their recording sheets.

Great to play in groups of 3 - 4, but group size can vary....the smaller the group, the more questions each student will answer.

Check out this video to see how this math game works!

Game questions require students to:

• Identify ratios, rates, and unit rates and definitions of each
• Identify equivalent ratios
• Solve word problems that require finding ratios, rates, and unit rates
• Solve simple proportions

This easy-to-use resource includes a PDF with:

• 36 game cards (18 Truth and 18 Dare)
• Student recording sheet
• Game instructions
• Blank cards in case you’d like to add your own questions
• Truth and Dare labels – these can be used as ‘pile’ labels for the Truth and Dare cards to be put beneath. Students will pick from the piles when playing.

### Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. For example, “The ratio of wings to beaks in the bird house at the zoo was 2:1, because for every 2 wings there was 1 beak.” “For every vote candidate A received, candidate C received nearly three votes.”
Understand the concept of a unit rate 𝘢/𝘣 associated with a ratio 𝘢:𝘣 with 𝘣 ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. For example, “This recipe has a ratio of 3 cups of flour to 4 cups of sugar, so there is 3/4 cup of flour for each cup of sugar.” “We paid \$75 for 15 hamburgers, which is a rate of \$5 per hamburger.”
