1. Print one copy of all playing cards. Print one copy of the snake pen placemat for each playing student (used to collect “J” words).
2. Students take turns drawing snake “J” cards and practicing the target sound at the word, phrase or sentence level. You may use all cards or use only the cards with the sounds you wish to target. There is an extra sheet of snake cards with blank lassos to be used for writing additional words or targets.
3. If the student draws a “You Roped a Cactus” card, they lose a turn. If they draw a “2 for 1!” card, they get an extra turn.
4. When there are no more cards available to draw, the student with the most snake cards in their snake pen is the winner!
