Class Management is always a challenge with students who are off-task when you have upwards of 100 students at a time. As a physical education specialist, I used what I called the "Re-Focus Station". This was a self management system based on a student who made a poor choice in class and needs to be temporarily removed from the activity. The student was sent to a "Re-Focus Station" and their responsibility was to fill out the form so they were self documenting the issue. They had to describe the expectation that was violated and describe three things they could have done in the same situation so the next time they will make better choices. This is an effective teaching tool to communicate with other teachers, parents, and the principal if necessary.
