One ELA skill we are constantly working on in my classroom is re-stating the question in their answer so they have a well written, complete answer. This is particularly important on standardized tests! It's a great skill for students to learn, master, and implement in every class and on every assignment!
This product consists of 32 task cards with basic science-based questions for students to answer re-stating the question in their answer. Please allow students to use resources (books, internet, YOU, etc) to look up correct answers as this activity is to practice their proper writing/question answering skills NOT their science comprehension skills. Please note the questions are based on 5-8 grade level science knowledge and are NOT intended to be difficult to answer. I have included a 'possible answers' page that will help!
See PREVIEW for the list of 32 questions included along with task card examples, record sheet options, and possible uses for task card implementation in your classroom. You can use the record sheet templates provided, or simply have students answer the questions on separate paper or in their notebooks.
Just print, laminate, and cut out the task cards for use year after year!
