This product includes templates that, when cut and folded, will form a pyramid for metals in the reactivity series. The largest pyramid is for the most reactive metal, potassium, down to the smallest one for the least reactive metal, gold.
The pyramids are designed to fit inside each other: so basically, the smalles pyramid (gold) will fit inside the second smallest pyramid (silver) and so on up to the largest pyramid (Potassium). The photo taken makes what I mean clearer to understand.
The 11 metals included (in alphabetical order) are: aluminium, calcium, copper, gold, hydrogen, iron, lead, magnesium, potassium, silver, sodium, zinc. I've also included hydrogen, just for comparasion.
The pyramids are also designed with the element symbol near the peak of the pyramid, so as to give students space to write other necessary information or draw a design they may wish to.
Tip: This information or design should be done before the students cut the pyramids. I would also recommend using paper that is 120gsm or higher (most photocopy paper is 80gsm)
Thanks for checking this out, and hope it is useful to you, your students and saves you time.
