Description

This Read Across America Day scavenger hunt will help make your day in class more fun and engaging! Celebrate Read Across America day with your students using this creative scavenger hunt idea. Students will search for various items and learn facts about famous authors in the process. What a great way to engage students, get them moving and have fun in the process!

NOTE: This scavenger hunt DOES NOT mention or include Dr. Seuss because of the allegations that many of Seuss's books and illustrations are racist. The NEA no longer celebrates Read Across America Day as Dr. Seuss's Birthday for this reason.

This is the Google Slides Version.

Check out some of my other scavenger hunts:

Saint Patrick's Day

Pi Day

Women's History Month 2021

Passover

Ramadan

and so much more in my store

Are you looking for ways to engage students? Are you looking for ways to get your virtual students up and moving? Do you want to entice your students to turn their cameras on, unmute and participate?
