Read & Go Peek is a great activity to have at any reading center. It
encourages kids to use the letter sounds they know to form words!
1. Print out the 11 pages onto paper or card stock.
2. Cut out each word box (6 per page)
3. Fold along the dotted line to cover up the picture that corresponds
to each word. Optional: secure closed with cothespins until the reveal.
Kids pick a word, sound it out then get to unfold the card to see if
they were right! READ....AND GO PEEK!
Store in a basket in your reading center for kids to practice on their
own, or use with students one on one for more individualized help.
Each red dot corresponds to a sound in each word.
In some words, there is a red dot for each letter.
Example: b a g elf
Where two letters work together to make a single sound, there is only
one dot between those letters.
Example: sh i p b oo t
