Read It, Glue It, Write It, Draw It (Pre-Primer)
Reading sight words is necessary for success in the primary grades. This product will allow students to practice and master the Dolch sight words in a more exciting way than rote memorization.
First, students read the sentence (which is written entirely with sight words or CVC words that can be sounded out). Next, they cut the words out from the bottom and glue them in the correct order in the box. Then, they rewrite the sentence (to reinforce neat handwriting as well as capital letters and punctuation). Finally, they draw a picture to demonstrate their understanding of the words.
I differentiate by giving my lower level students just a single sight word paper which you can buy here:
This can be used as an independent activity or as a center.
