My students often forgot which step they left off on during their previous Read Naturally session. I created these bookmarks so that students would know immediately their starting step. This document includes a bookmark for each Read Naturally step within the process. These pages are meant to be copied, cut out, and displayed in the classroom for the students to access. I laminate mine. Before putting away their materials, students replace the bookmark that they had taken during their last session, and replace it with a bookmark indicating the step they will be working on during their next class. These bookmarks help the students monitor where they are and reduces transition time. Since I started using these, students are able to get started immediately.
