Short handout for students studying Shakespeare. It covers 5 steps students can take to better understand the Bard.
You can pass this out to students as a list of suggestions to improve their comprehension of Shakespeare, which will work well with students who are independently motivated.
Alternatively, steps 2, 3, and 4 can be turned into assignments. Making a character list and taking book notes help students analyze the text as they read. There is an example of a character chart so students can get an idea on how to create their own.
