This place value activity comes with 18 different cards that represent numbers to the ten thousands place using expanded notation, base ten blocks, and word form.
Students then move about the classroom looking for each of the cards. When they find a card they record the number represented on the card in standard notation on their recording sheet. It's a fun way to get students up and moving while practicing reading and writing numbers in a variety of forms.
Students could then sequence numbers from least to greatest as an additional extension.
