Get ready for your students to have a rhyming good time as they read around your classroom! This resource was designed to engage young readers as you review basic rhyming skills and build fluency! It is a great set of activities to use any time of year OR during Read Across America Week.
Your class is sure to have fun reading these ten original poems that include picture clues. They can be printed, laminated, and posted around the room "scoot" style, collated into booklets for partner reading, projected onto a Smartboard for group choral readings, or copied individually and put in a binder for literacy station review and practice. Pages can be printed in full, half, or quarter-size.

- Book Buddy Scoot Game for whole group practice. Students "read the room" and choose the correct rhyming word to complete the poem or riddle.
- Rhyming Booklet for book buddies or poetry partners. Color and blackline booklet pages with original verses that feature ten common word families.
- Find The Rhyme Sheets for literacy station practice. Poem pages can be put in plastic sheet protectors, and students can use dry erase markers to circle rhyming word pairs.
