READ, TYPE, & WRITE
Part of my "Easy-Peezy" Read and Write series...
Activities in this series are designed to be simple to understand, time efficient, and effective for students to practice early literacy skills.
Use this activity to introduce, practice, and review sight words, while also reinforcing keyboarding skills, an important component in an increasingly technology-focused world.
This resource includes a keyboard work mat, as well as 2 differentiated versions of the recording sheet (lined and unlined).
BONUS: included are a variety of sight word cards to use with the work mat (pre-primer, primer, Fry's 1st 200 sight words); print the different lists on different colored paper, put on a binder ring, and you've got a portable study tool for students to review with, as well!
-Read the sight word on the word card
-Type the word using the keyboard work mat
-Write the word on the recording sheet
Laminate the work mat for continued use throughout the year. Great activity ELA centers or early-finisher work!
