This packet contains 50 pages that can be used as morning work, word work, homework, testing, etc. Students will copy and then illustrate the sentence. For added difficulty and creativity, students can also write an additional sentence and add more details to the picture. The sentences are filled with common sight words and cvc words. The pages will help students gain confidence in their reading and comprehension skills.
Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print.
Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words. (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/, or /x/.)
Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).
Print many upper- and lowercase letters.
Produce and expand complete sentences in shared language activities.
