This is a great tool to use at the beginning of the year to help students recognize certain features in their classroom.
First, cut out the large word cards and hang them around the room. Next, give each student a recording sheet. This works best when the sheet is on a clipboard. Have students walk around the room reading the words and writing them in the corresponding boxes. As an additional challenge, have students write sentences with these words on the back of the paper.
For an added bonus, keep these word cards up all year so that students may continue to become familiar with these commonly used classroom words!
