I use this as a literacy center! I change the letter weekly and students are to search around the room to find the letter cards. I laminate the word card and picture and tape them around the room. I try to tape the cards in more difficult places as the year goes and students find joy in trying to find all the cards. Once they find a card they are to record their findings by writing the word and drawing a picture. If a student finishes early I let them look around the room for other words that begin with or have the focus letter. Students are able to make a list on the back of their paper with these additional words. Another option for this activity is to let the students find their own words instead of providing word cards.
