Reading the Room is a fun way for students to practice listening for, and producing, targeted sounds. This file contains two Read-The-Room/Scavenger Hunts: one for blends, and one for digraphs.
Each hunt contains 16 cards to be hidden around the room, two differentiated reproducible student record sheets, and answers. Each card contains a picture clue and the word with the blend/digraph sound missing. Each hunt has a color version AND a black and white version. There are two answer sheets to choose from: one has a space for target sound that is missing, the other has a sentence with the target word missing.
The digraph hunt contains the following words: cheese, shark, brush, thorn, fish, bath, shoe, chimp, whale, mouth, trash, white, lunch, wheel, three, and chips.
The blend hunt contains the following words: crab, bread, dragon, crown, flag, clam, plus, drum, smell, swing, clock, dress, skate, fruit, glue, and stop.
