The following is a description of how I use these products in my classroom.
Prep: After I type in the words that I need, I print the pages on white paper (or another light color) and laminate them. I keep the sets in small manila envelopes with a dry erase marker and eraser.
Here are some of the ways I utilize these task cards in my classroom:
I originally made this product to help my students practice proper nouns that are used in our community (i.e. name of our city, state, and nearby landmarks). I also like to include the names of teachers that they have around the building, places we’ve traveled as a group, etc. I have two sets of these cards that stay in my “early finishers” bucket for students to practice when they have free time.
Each week I make a set of these cards with our current vocabulary words to place in my vocabulary center in my classroom. When students complete their work at this center then they can practice writing vocabulary words.
A few of my students still need help with sight words. I also have a set with the sight words they are practicing in their independent work bins.
