A fun way to combine technology with learning. Use in a literacy center or with a classroom computer. As the cover states, it does include the sight words from the Dolch Sight Word list.
The Writing Follow-up Activities include:
1- Write Your Sight Words: Students choose their favorite sight words and write them on this page.
2-Sorting Words: Teacher will give the students any or all pages. Students will sort the sight words by beginning letter.
3-Choose 2 Words. Write a Sentence. Students will read the words on the selected page. Then, they will choose 2 words to use in a sentence.
This activity will help with:
1- letter recognition as they look for the letters
2-sound recognition as they sound it out while searching for the correct keys.
3-matching upper to lowercase letters (words are written in lowercase, but keyboard uses uppercase letters)
4-segmenting and blending sounds to make words
5-correct alphabet sequence (when using the simple board mats)
6-becoming familiar with number and letter placement on a standard keyboard.
7-reading and writing sight words
8-having fun while learning!
I added a simple white keyboard with lowercase letters.
