Invite students to share their love of reading in a way that is familiar and fun, through Tweets! Using Tweets of 140 characters or less forces learners to think about what they REALLY want to say about their reading, combine that with skills like making predictions and inferences, uncovering theme, and discussing important quotations and your students will be doing some higher level thinking in a really engaging way! This is set up as a weekly activity but can be modified to fit your classroom. It encourages creativity through the use of Twitter handles (@goodreadteach) and hashtags (#getlostinabook).
