Description

These are kind of like task cards that are kept in a bag for students to pull to practice fluency.

This can be used more than one way. You can have student's use this during centers or during "read to someone". I also use this during guided reading groups. They are excellent for partner reading, and getting students using voice while also paying attention to text.

Here are the directions when being used in a center:

Have a book ready to read. Pull a card from the bag. Read a page from your book how the card tells you to read it. Does it fit how the story should be read? Why or why not? Fill in your recording sheet as you read. Take turns with your partner.

Enjoy,
