Read the Room: TOP SECRET SENTENCES

This detective-themed literacy center activity will get your students up and moving around the classroom as they hunt for words, use them to figure out the 'top secret' sentence, and illustrate the sentence to show comprehension.

Directions:

Hang the word cards around your classroom. Students will hunt around the room to find the words and copy them down in their detective notebooks. Next, students will sort the words to create a sentence. Finally, students will illustrate the sentence, to demonstrate their comprehension.

Ten sentences are included in this pack (to be completed one at a time). Detective notebooks for recording work are included as well, with both full-page and half-page options. Perfect as a small group activity center!

For even more fun, have students wear sunglasses or use magnifying glasses as they search the room for words :)
