This is a fun way to have students recognize and learn to distinguish where they hear the letter "Q" consonant sound (at the beginning, middle or end of a word). Used as a literacy station, printed cards on cardstock can be placed around the room at students’ height. Using a clipboard and recording sheet, students will have a choice of two variations. The first allows students to copy the word and then color the first box for the beginning consonant sound, the second box for the middle consonant sound and the last box for the final consonant sound.
The second recording sheet allows students to cut and paste the picture into the correct column. An answer sheet is also included for each consonant sound activity.
