Product Description
During this unit we will begin to think about the characters as people by paying attention to what they do and who they are. Readers notice how a character changes across a book. They also notice how a character stays the same across many different books in a series. We will begin looking at characters by reading books such as Henry and Mudge and the Forever Sea, Olivia and The Pigeon Wants a Puppy. This unit will focus on improving our reading comprehension by connecting with characters. This unit is based on the Readers Workshop Unit of Study at Teachers College.
